Minor son of food-grains trader goes missing in Nandanvan

Nagpur: A 17-year old son of a food-grains trader has gone missing and reportedly been kidnapped in Nandanvan area here on Monday.

The complainant, Mahendra Maniram Shravankar (50), resident of Plot No. 30, Bhagyashri Nagar, Kharbi Road, Nandanvan, told police that his son Akshay (17) was at his shop Saikrupa Dhanya Bhandar situated at Jagnade Square on Monday. Around 2 pm, Akshay left the shop by saying that he is going home. However, he did not reach home and since then has gone missing. A search for Akshay proved futile.

Nandanvan Woman PSI Jaybhaye, as per Supreme Court directive that if a minor boy or girl goes missing then the case be treated as that of kidnapping, has registered a case under Section 363 of the IPC and launched a search to trace Akshay.

In another incident, 12-year old Tejas, son of Sanjay Shravan Dhamke (36), resident of Old Jaripatka, near Itarsi Bridge, went missing around 11 am on Sunday. It is suspected that Tejas might have been lured and kidnapped by unidentified person(s).

Jaripatka PSI Temgire has registered a case under Section 363 of the IPC in accordance with the directives of Supreme Court and searching for missing Tejas.
