Nagpur:A minor was raped by an elderly security guard under the jurisdiction of Sitabuldi police station. The matter came to light after the victim, aged 17 years, became pregnant.
Police said that the vicitm girl is a native of Jharkhand. For the past two years, she had been staying at a house in Sitabuldi where she was engaged in house work. The accused Rajkumar Chakravarty (50) also used to work there as security guard. Chakravarty repeatedly raped the minor girl between June 2014 and April 2015 by threatening her.
However, in the month of May, Chakravarty was removed from service because of his improper behaviour. In the meantime, the girl became pregnant. The family members of the house where the girl was working never had any inkling about what was happening. However, some days ago, looking at the behaviour of the girl, they became suspicious.
They took her to a consultant who confirmed that she was pregnant. This was on December 16. The girl lodged a complaint with Sitabuldi police which registered a case of rape against the accused. Police are on the look out for Chakravarty.
