Minor held within 24 hours of robbery

Within 24 hours of crime, Railway police rounded-up a minor boy for allegedly snatching pregnant doctor’s purse while she was travelling in Maharashtra express on Monday morning. Police said that the minor boarded and even jumped off the train when it was at high speed.

Cops informed that the minor’s modus was to target people travelling in train and was habitual in jumping off and boarding the train even if it is at high speed.

Dr. Seema Kale, a resident of Patil Nagar on Wardha road had boarded the train from central railway station. She was travelling in S.3 coach when the minor came closer and snatched away gold ornaments worth Rs 60,000 wore by her. An expected mother Kale couldn’t resist him but other passengers immediately pulled emergency chain. Kale reported the matter to Itwari railway police.

On Tuesday, railway police got a tip-off of the minor and nabbed him from Itwari railway station.
