Nagpur: In another heinous act, a 22-year-old youth had used the usual ploy of the promise to get married and had been raping a minor girl for seven months i.e. from August 2014 to April 11, 2015.
According to police sources, the accused identified as Junaid Rajwani aged 22 years and a resident of Ajad Colony, Bada Tajbagh had established physical relationship with the victim, a 17 year-old minor girl and resident of Sakkardara area after promising to marry her for seven months i.e from August 2014 to April 11, 2015. When the accused showed no interest in marrying her even after seven months, the victim lodged a complaint with Sakkardara Police Station.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim, Woman Police Inspector Yelkewar of Sakkardara Police Station registered a case under Sections 366, 376 (J) of Indian Penal Code along with Sections 3 And 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The Sakkardara Police is invetstigating further.
