MIHAN issues RFP documents to 5 bidders

Nagpur: MIHAN India Ltd. (MIL) has issued the Request for Proposal (RFP) documents on 1 March 2018 to the 5 short-listed bidders. Its a major step towards privatization of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur. It may be recalled that MIL had floated Request for Qualification (RFQ) Documents in 2016 wherein 6 applications were received. MIL obtained security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs for the 5 bidders. Soon after this Government of Maharashtra also approved issuance of RFP to the short-listed 5 bidders and also approved the RFP documents.

With all the above approvals, the Board of MIL instructed the management to proceed with the issuance of RFP documents. The last date for submission of financial proposal is 14th June, 2018, as per the approved schedule. The selected bidder is expected to invest around Rs 1,685/- crore in Phase I, that is 4 years from the commercial operation date and he is expected to develop major infrastructure works like Terminal Building, access to Indian Air Force block, construction of aircraft parking bays, Cargo Complex, ATC Block, Fire Station, etc.
