Nagpur: Middle Level Commanders & Staff Officers Law Course, Ser-43 (MLSC-43) was formally inaugurated at Institute of Military Law (IML), Kamptee by Col Sandeep Kumar, Commandant on 09 Mar 2015. The course of 4 weeks duration is being attended by senior officers in the rank of Colonels, Lt Colonels & Majors. These officers hail from various locations and handle the discipline & vigilance cases of the Army as staff officers and play key role in dispensation of Military Justice amongst rank and file.
Addressing student officers Col Sandeep Kumar said that India is a democracy where ‘rule of Law’ is supreme. He urged the course officers to take pride in their job as without discp no Army can fight a war.

Hon’ble Justice Sunil Balkrishna Shukre of Bombay High Court (Nagpur Bench) visited Institute of Military Law, Kamptee on Tuesday. He addressed the offrs attending Middle Level Commanders & Staff Officers Law Course, Ser-43 (MLSC-43) addressing the officers, Justice Shukre expressed his pleasure at visiting the Institute, with whom his association which goes back to 2005. He stressed upon the importance of Law and how in a democratic country like India it provides the vitality, power and energy to the various Institutes/elements to work. He further expressed his honour in being invited to the Institute, which is the only institute of its kind in the continent.
Col Sandeep Kumar, Commandant, Institute of Military Law, Kamptee apprised Justice Shukre as to the mode and curriculum of training at IML. Justice Shukre complimented Col Sandeep Kumar and his team of officers for the high standard of training at Institute of Military Law.
