Mega Mudra Yojana Camp

Nagpur: The District Administration is organizing a mega camp of Prime Minister’s Mudra Yojana (PMMY) in city on October 22 and 23. The mega camp is being held to give a wide publicity to the Mudra Yojana and sanction loans to eligible young entrepreneurs for setting up small and big businesses, the District Collector Sachin Kurve said here on Tuesday.

A Coordination Committee at district-level has been formed to create awareness and give publicity to the Mudra Yojana. A meeting of the committee, presided over by Collector Kurve, was held at Collectorate. The meeting was attended by officials of nationalized banks in the district and members of the panel.

A total of 26,166 eligible borrowers including children, teenage and youth categories in the district have been extended loans to the tune of Rs 4.84 crore so far. A workshop of all officials of nationalized banks will be held in the first week of October. The workshop will ponder over preparing simplest application forms for the prospective young entrepreneurs. The application forms would be unique to all banks. A wide-publicity and awareness about the Mudra Yojana will be done so that a large number of beneficiaries are covered in the mega camp.
