MCOCA slapped on gangster Lalit Yadav, 4 members of his gang

Nagpur: Dreaded gangster Lalit Yadav and four members of his gang, involved in a series of serious crimes including dacoity, robbery, terrorising people with arms etc, have been booked under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). Apart from Lalit Rambhau Yadav, a resident of Quarter No C18/11, Railway Colony, Itwari Lakadganj Goods Shed, the four other accused have been identified as Laxminarayan alias Krishna Nainuram Bharati (30), resident of Plot No 911, Mini Mata Nagar, near Corporation School, Gurudeo alias Yeda Baburao Uikey (22), a resident of Mudaliar Chowk, Kalamna, Rambhai alias Kaka Ambadas Dulhewale (40), a resident of Lakadganj, near Barde Garden, and Vinish Dharampal Meshram (28), a resident of Durga Nagar, Bharatwada Road.

The gang was involved in dacoity, robbery, terrorising people with lethal arms and other crimes of serious nature. The accused had committed nine crimes of serious nature in an organised way. Serious offences were registered against them at Lakadganj, Kalamna, Yashodhara Nagar, Nandanvan, Ramtek and New Kamptee Police Stations. The accused had looted cash and cell phone from Sonu Deepak Bhimte,a resident of Ramgad, Kamptee. An offence under Sections 3(1)(ii),3(2), 3(4) of Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, read with Sections 397, 392, 341, 506, 34 of the Indian Penal Code, and section 4/25 of ArmsAct, has been registered against the accused persons.
