MCOCA convict jumps furlough, goes absconding

Nagpur: A MCOCA convict who was sentenced to life imprisonment and granted 21-day furlough (brief leave) by a court has gone absconding and is being hunted by Ajni police.

The accused Saurabh Vilas Kadlag (24) was convicted by the Special MCOCA Court under Sections 143, 147, 148, 302, 149 of the IPC and sentenced to undergo life imprisonment. He was lodged in Nagpur Central Prison. However, a court had granted the MCOCA convict a 21-day furlough from 2.6.2017 to 24-6-2017. The murder convict was expected to present himself at the prison on 25.6.2017 at 1 pm. But he did not and since then went absconding.

Ajni PSI S S Bansode has booked the MCOCA convict Saurabh Kadlag under Section 224 of the IPC and launched a hunt to nab him.
