Nagpur: With the aim of providing relief to citizens facing various problems, the Mayor Nanda Jichkar has undertaken a task to visit areas under Prabhag 24. The Mayor visited slums and other localities in Minimata Nagar and apprised herself about the problems being faced by the citizens.
The Mayor was accompanied by Water Works Committee Chairman Rajesh Ghodpage, Slums Eradication Committee Chairperson Chetana Tank, Corporators Pradeep Pohane, Anil Gendre, Sarita Kaore, Lakadganj Zone Assistant Commissioner Subhash Jaideo and other officials.
During Jichkar’s visit, citizens of the areas raised various civic problems being faced by them. The problems include cracking of sewage lines and mixing of the filthy water with drinking water, stinking water etc. The polluted water is causing gastro outbreak in the areas. The Mayor immediately directed the officials to lay down new pipelines and provide relief to the aggrieved citizens.
Similarly, the Mayor listened to various other problems of the citizens and assured them to resolve immediately.
