
Others who accompanied the Mayor include MLAs Krishna Khopde, Sudhakar Deshmukh, Vikas Kumbhare, Chairman of Standing Committee Narendra Borkar, Leader of Ruling Party Pravin Datke, Chairman of Tax and Tax Assessment Committee Girish Deshmukh, Chairman of Health Committee Ramesh Singare, Chairman of Water Works Committee Sudhakar Kohale, Corporator Prakash Totwani, Superintending Engineer Prakash Urade, City Engineer Sanjay Gaekwad, Estate Officer D D Jambhulkar, MSRDC Executive Engineer Samay Nikose, Project Manager Arun Kumar and others.
The Mayor Sole also reviewed the final stage approach work of both the sides. Approach work on Mayo Hospital side road has been completed and so is the tarring work. Work of painting and beautification is going on and erection of poles and electrification will be taken up soon. Similarly, concreting and construction of anti-crash barrier wall on both the sides would be completed within eight days. Gap joining and remaining works will be finished by September 28 and therefore work in the final stage will gain momentum, said the Project Manager Arun Kumar.
The Mayor directed the concerned officials to complete the Ramjhula works within stipulated timeframe and at the same warned Arun Kumar not to dole out only assurances and misleading of people. In turn, Arum Kumar promised to make Ramjhula ready by October end and sort out people’s problems by opening it to traffic.
Dahibazaar Bridge inspection:
The Mayor Anil Sole also inspected the Itwari Dahibazaar Bridge. The Bridge, constructed from Bastarwari Zade Square to Marwadi Square, has been thrown open for traffic. However, work on approach bridge from Maskasath Marwadi Square to Shantinagar id going on. The Mayor directed the officials to finish the bridge joining, casting, patching, concreting and deskslab works speedily.
Similarly, Railways have given approval for demolishing an existing RoB and construction of new bridge. The Mayor directed the officials to start work of laying block and remaining work as soon as possible.
