Nagpur: A major fire broke out late Tuesday night (March 31) in the Firdos Chambers (G+2) building located near Care Hospital in Ramdaspeth, creating panic in the area. The incident was reported around 11:01 PM, following which the fire department rushed to the spot without delay.
Two fire engines (MH-31-AG-4924 and MH-31-FC-9530) reached the location within minutes. Firefighters acted swiftly and managed to bring the blaze under control. The operation involved personnel including Palwe, Gunge, Bawkar, Vedya, Kuhikar, Uke, Bhagat, Sarkitnewar, and Samudra.
According to preliminary information, the fire is believed to have originated from furniture and other flammable materials stored on the building’s terrace. Items such as wood, plywood, and door-window frames were completely gutted in the blaze.
The building owner, Asad Firdosi, has estimated the total loss at around ₹10 lakh.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. Firefighters used continuous water spraying to fully extinguish the flames. The fire engines returned to the station at approximately 1:20 AM.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and further investigation is currently underway by the concerned police authorities.
