The concluding days of this summer are proving futile to the life and property as the fire incidents increased to the alarming level. Reports of fire accidents are blazing from every quarter these days, casting its deadly fury over the citizens here. The serious fire accidents have also exposed the reality of fire fighting system at various large establishements in Nagpur.
Adding to the series of fire incidents rising at quantum frequency in the city and outskirts, another fire broke out at lane no. 10 in Santra Market here in the wee hours of Friday, gutting fruits worth lakhs of rupees. The eatables were completely destroyed in the fire. Short circuit in one of the godowns was said to be the reason behind the blaze.
Seven fire tenders pumped into action and controlled the flames after hours of struggling. The actual loss was yet to be estimated.
