Marathi film ‘Ek Nirnay’ all set to release in city on Jan 18

Nagpur: Marathi movies lovers are in for treat as one more soul searching film ‘Ek Nirnay Swatacha Swatachya Sathi’ is all set to release on January 18 at several theatres in Maharashtra including Nagpur.

Addressing a press conference at the newly re-launched restaurant ‘Puranna’ on Pratap Nagar Ring Road on Wednesday, Shrirang Deshmukh, the Marathi cinema’s versatile actor who is making debut as director, said that the storyline of the movie has a social touch that will connect with every viewer.

“Decision making is a very important factor in every one’s life, but there comes a time when every individual has to take an important decision sometime or the other, particularly when it concern’s self. This has to be done with courage and conviction,” Deshmukh, who is also the producer, director, script writer and director actor in the movie, stated.

Talking about the message the film would convey to society, Deshmukh said that it is left to the judgement of the viewer, who is knowledgeable, intelligent and understanding. The film, he said, deals with family relationship. There are seven women in the story, who enjoy the best of relations when things are good, but indulge in blame game when things go wrong.

Others present at the press meet include upcoming star Kunjika Kalvit, who is making her debut opposite popular actor Subodh Bhave, Seema Deshmukh, wife of Shrirang Deshmukh, who is the backbone of the film’s making, with her staunch support to her husband, to go ahead, when the financer backed out at the last moment. Other actors who will be seen on screen are Madhura Velankar, Vikram Gokhale, Suhas Joshi, Pradeep Velankar, Sharad Ponkshe, Mangal Kenkre, Mugda Godbole, Pratibha Date, Swapnali Patil, Suurubhi Fadnavis, child artist Mohak Matkar, Pari Sawant, Sanap Pethe.
