Many Nagpur luminaries attended MIA's Diwali Milan at CP club

Woods lawn, at C.P. club was decorated with coloured lights beckoning guests for their festive affair aptly called ‘Diwali Milan’. It was a grand Milan alright with not just all the Executive Committee Members of the MIDC Industries Association (MIA) being present to welcome invitees but the presence of many other prominent Nagpur industrialists, politicians and Sr. Government officers too. No sooner had the party begun at 8 p.m. that Shri Basant Lall Shaw, the “Master Caster” of Central India, Founder Chairman of Neco group of Industries walked in. Upright and sprightly, at age 82. He was followed shortly by Anup Kumar the Divisional Commissioner and senior most IAS officer of Nagpur. Young Sameer Meghe, BJP MLA also joined the gathering.

Apart from MIDC, Butibori industrialists were also present in good numbers. Pradeep Khandelwal, President of Butibori Manufacturers’ Association and Jeevan Ghime, Treasurer of BMA headed the Butibori contingent.

The spouses of MIA members were also present in large numbers. Their presence added a more festive atmosphere to the mood.
