City Girl,Manasi Moghe,lost the run for the Miss Universe 2013 crown on Saturday, continuing India’s 13-year-long dry run at the coveted annual beauty pageant.
Manasi, 22, who wore a blushing pink evening gown managed to make her way to the ‘Top 10’ but lost out in the final round.
Manasi after making it to the ‘Top 10’ said, “I am an Engineer and for me, education is very important. I love to travel and want to climb the Mount Everest.”
A 25-year-old Venezuelan television presenter, Gabriela Isler, was crowned Miss Universe 2013.
Manasi has completed her graduation B.E.in Electronics & Telecommunication from St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology, Nagpur.
The Miss Universe panel of judges include the likes of American singer- songwriter Steven Tyler, Russian-born supermodel Anne Vyalitsyna, simply known as Anne V, American model and actress Carol Alt, chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, Farouk Shami- founder of the hair-care and spa products company, Farouk Systems and renowned American figure skater Tara Lipinski.
