A cyclist who was hit by an unidentified vehicle on September 17 under the jurisdiction of Pratap Nagar Police Station succumbed to his injuries. The deceased, identified as Jaswant Singh Tyagi (53), a resident of Buddha Nagar, Indora, was admitted at Dande Hospital for treatment.
Police said, the deceased, Jaswant Singh, was going on his bicycle from Subhash Nagar T-Point at around 4 pm when an unidentified vehicle hit him from behind. Fearing public wrath, the vehicle owner fled from the spot. Tyagi was rushed to Dande Hospital for treatment. His condition was critical and he succumbed to his injuries on September 24.
On the complaint of Tyagi’s son, Wajir Sing, Pratap Nagar PSI Bawanwade registered a case against the unidentified vehicle owner under Sections 279, 337, 304 (a) read with sub sections 134, and 177 of the IPC. Search for ‘killer’ vehicle is still on.
