Nagpur: A 52-year old man died after run over by a moving train at Vanzra Railway Crossing in Yashodhara Nagar here on Tuesday night.
The deceased Panchamlal Gendlal Kahar, resident of Parvati Nagar, near Adarsha School, had gone to near Vanzra Railway Crossing around 10.40 pm on Tuesday for responding to nature’s call. He was relieving himself near Pole No. 2 KRD 6 totally unaware of a train approaching towards the spot speedily. When the train arrived at the spot it was too late for Panchamlal as he could not move away from the track and was run over. A seriously injured Panchamlal was taken to Mayo Hospital but was pronounced brought dead by doctors.
Yashodhara Nagar API P J Bawankar, based on the information provided by Kamalesh Narayan Yadav (52), has registered a case of accidental death. Further probe is underway.
