Man relieved of Rs 1.68 lakh by trickster using Axis Bank’s bogus credit card

Nagpur: In yet another cyber crime, a bank account holder was relieved of Rs 1.68 lakh by a trickster using fake credit card. The incident occurred around 5.30 pm on September 1.

The complainant Omprakash Ramchandra Borkhe (33), resident of Vaishali Nagar, told police that some trickster(s) in the office of Axis Bank, Civil Lines, used bogus credit card and siphoned off Rs 1,68,809 from his account.

Based on the complaint lodged by Borkhe, Sitabuldi PSI Munde has registered an offence under Section 420 of IPC read with Section 66(D) of Information and Technology Act and investigating the matter further.
