Nagpur: A man not only raped a 28-year old woman at various hotels on the pretext of marriage promise but also made a video clip of the heinous act. When the victimised woman refused to fall prey further and stopped talking to the accused, he thrashed her and threatened to make the ‘rape’ video viral.
The accused has been identified as Ankit Nandkumar Baisware (31), resident of Plot No. 4, Indradhanush Apartment, near NIT Garden, Pratapnagar, with nefarious designs in mind, doled out marriage promise to the 28-year old woman. As the woman fell into trap of the accused, he took her to Hotel Redisson Blu, Sangram Hotel on Amravati Road and forcibly established physical relations with her between January 2014 and April 2017. The accused even took the woman to his flat also and raped her. The rape accused slyly made a video clip of his heinous act. However, when the victimised woman refused to fall prey further and stopped talking to the accused, he thrashed her and threatened to make the ‘rape’ video viral.
Pratapnagar API Shirke, based on a complaint lodged by the victimised woman, booked the accused Ankit Baisware under Sections 376, 323, 506 of the IPC. Further probe is underway.
