Nagpur: A 16-year old girl who had gone to school for appearing in exam was raped by a man on the pretext of dropping her at her house in Nandanvan area on Thursday, March 8. For reasons, a case was registered on Tuesday only. Incidentally, the accused rapist was known to the victimised girl. The accused also thrashed her and threatened to defame her if opened her mouth.
The 16-year old left her home on March 8 for appearing in exam. After the paper, between 2 pm and 5 pm, the accused Arman Ansari (24), resident of Kharbi, Nandanvan, asked the girl to sit on his motorcycle on the pretext of dropping her at her house. However, the accused took the girl to his own house and raped her forcibly. When the girl protested, the accused Arman beat her and threatened to defame her if she opened her mouth.
Nandanvan API Kokode, based on the complaint of the victimised girl, booked the accused Arman Ansari under Sections 376(2)(J), 323, 506 of the IPC read with Sub-Section 4 of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. Further probe is on.
