Man murdered over petty issue in Nandanvan

Nagpur: A 27-year old man was murdered in cold blood when he refused to give money to a goon for his pleasure pursuit (shauk). The bloody incident took place in Hiwrinagar Slums on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased Prakash Sakharam Gadariye (27), resident of Hiwrinagar Slums, was accosted by the accused Gagan Nashik Patil (22), resident of same area around 2 pm on Sunday. The accused Gagan reportedly demanded money from deceased Prakash for fulfilling his lavish hobbies. However, Prakash flatly refused to hand over the money. Enraged by Prakash’s refusal, the accused Gagan Patil hit him on head with an iron rod (Sabbal). Prakash suffered deep injury on his head and died on the spot.

Based on the complaint filed by elder brother of deceased, Nandanvan API S J Kokode booked the accused Gagan Patil under Section 302 and mounted a search to nab the culprit.
