Nagpur News: Tensions ran high in Kalamna area when a man was murdered over old rivalry.
According to police, the victim Dilip Mahadeo Khadsinge (50), a vegetable vendor, and resident of Navi Nagar, Shyam Nagar in Kalmna area, was murdered at about 00.30 hours in the dead of night of August 14. Dilip was done to death when he was returning home after a glass or two of liquor. Police have arrested 3 suspects while the main accused is absconding.
According to reports, Dilip was a total addict of liquor. He had a dispute with Sunil, a neighbor, about three months ago over a family matter. Dilip was father of two daughters and a son. Sunil used to tease Dilip’s young daughters. For this reason only, Dilip had a hot exchange of words and a fight with Sunil three months ago. Sunil was supposed to be produced before an Assistant Commissioner of Police on August 19. But Sunil could be produced before the ACP, he and his accomplices Sanjay, Pankaj and Guddu conspired and murdered Dilip on the intervening night of August 13 and 14.
After committing the murder, Sunil absconded but his other accomplices Sanjay, Pankaj and Guddu were arrested. Kalmna police have registered an offence of murder and are probing the matter further. They hoped to arrest the main conspirer Sunil, soon.
