Man murdered in Rana Pratap Nagar

Nagpur: SENSATION prevailed in Rana Pratap Nagar area after a man was brutally murdered by three persons on Monday night. The man was abusing a woman while attending nature’s call which led to the murder, police said. The deceased was identified as Anil Palkar (48), a resident of Gopal Nagar. He owns a marriage hall in Wanadongri area. Palkar was also involved in criminal activities in past. He was acquitted in a murder case.

The police have detained one Amit Shahu and searching for Santosh Shahu and Chandan Nair. A police official said that Palkar had rented two shops near Gopal Nagar bus stop to Santosh Shahu and Amit Nair.

There was a dispute between Palkar and the tenants over some issue and both tenants were not ready to vacate the place. On Monday, Palkar arrived at the shops in inebriated condition and urinated near the shop also started abusing a woman. Amit, Santosh and Chandan Shahu objected Palkar for abusing the woman. Palkar also started abusing the youths and a quarrel broke out between them. In a fit of rage, the youths attacked Palkar with a sharp-edged weapons on neck and back. Palkar collapsed on the ground in the pool of blood. He was admitted to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. It may be mentioned that a case of murder of one Sunil Tiwari was registered in Hingna police station area against Palkar.

Since then, Anil had left Wanadongri and was living in Gopal Nagar. He was acquitted in the murder case. A case under Sections 302 and 34 of Indian Penal Code was registered by Rana Pratap Nagar police.
