Nagpur: The Government Railway Police (GRP) hunted in vain for a 31 year old man at Nagpur railway station, for he allegedly molested a 13-year-old girl in the train. The accused has been identified as Pramod Bawanthade. The girl was sleeping on the lower berth of B1 coach in New Delhi-Durg Rajdhani Express on Sunday at 5:30am when Bawanthade made advances.
Girl’s father, who was on upper berth, caught Pramod red-handed while he was touching the minor under her blanket. Bawanthday, resident of Tumsar in Bhandara district, fled as the girl’s father scolded him. The father searched for Pramod but couldn’t find him.
The girl’s father alerted Government Railway Police (GRP) who too couldn’t trace the alleged molester at Nagpur railway station. When the train departed from the station, Pramod came out of a washroom and was caught by the ticket checker and the girl’s father. He was handed over to cops at Godhni railway station cops who sent him to city after registering a case of molestation.
