Nagpur: A young man was found lying dead on Wardha Road on Wednesday night. The deceased was probably knocked down by a recklessly driven vehicle.
Beltarodi police received information around 8 pm on Wednesday that a man was lying dead near Rang Dhaba, on Wardha Road. A team of cops reached the spot and started investigations. The deceased was later identified as Govind Namdevrao Puram (30), resident of Shantiniketan Nagar, near Hanuman Temple, Chinchbhuvan. Probe revealed that an unidentified vehicle hit Govind causing his death.
Beltarodi police constable Sanjay, based on a complaint lodged by Sunil Laxmanrao Raut (30), resident of Simtakli, Hingna, booked the unidentified driver of the vehicle under Sections 279, 304(A) of the IPC read with Sub-Sections 134, 177 of Motor Vehicles Act and searching for him.
