Man killed trying to resolve dispute

Nagpur News : For 49-year-old landlord, interrupting to resolve the dispute between couple proved costly. Aniruddha Shende (49), a resident of Yogeshwar Nagar, was stabbed to death by one of his tenants.

Shende was employed as a plumber. He had given two rooms on rent- one to Ramashreya Saket and his wife and other to Saket’s younger brother, Ramkushal.

According to the police, around 6 pm, Ramashrey picked up a heated argument with his wife Geeta over a trivial issue and soon started beating her ruthlessly. Hearing Geeta’s screams, Shende rushed to save her but was abused by Saket. This led to a fight between Saket and Shende. Within minutes, Ramkushal also joined Saket and in rage, stabbed Shende on his chest.

Shende collapsed dead and fearing police action, the brothers fled the spot. However, within an hour, Nandanwan police team successfully nabbed Ramashreya Saket. Ramkushal is still absconding. Both the accused brother worked as carpenters.

A murder case has been registered against Saket brothers. Shende’s body was shifted for post mortem at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) mortuary.
