Nagpur: A senior citizen was killed after a speeding truck hit his bicycle near Mahalaxmi Nagar in Hudkeshwar on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. Wamanrao Ganpatrao Salekar (64), a resident of Indra Nagar, Narsala was heading home on his bicycle at 12.45 am.
A truck (OD15/D-8588) coming from behind in a great speed hit the bicycle. Salekar sustained grievous head injuries and died at the spot.
Police arrested truck driver Mohd Nasim Mohd Habib (40), a resident of Ejaj Nagar, Samarpur, Odisha after registering a case under Section 304 (a) of the IPC.
