Nagpur: Pachpaoli Police on Thursday booked a man and his family members in a dowry death case

Khushboo,daughter of Anil Shivlal Baghel (48), a native of Ward No 6,Balaghat, was married to DevanandVishnu Ingoley. It was a love marriage. A resident of Plot No 4, Naik Talao, Khushboo’shusband Devanand and in-laws Lalita,Gajju Ingoley, Ranjit Ingoley and Kavita Tulsi Ingoley started harassing her for want of dowry.

Between July 2017 and September 7, 2018,they tortured Khushboo as she failed to bring a two-wheeler and Rs two lakh cash from her parents. As a result, Khushboo’s health started deteriorating.

She was admitted to a hospital where she breathed her last. Anil Baghel, father of the deceased, moved the court seeking penal action against his daughter’s husband and in-laws.

As per the court’s order, PSI V M Dhondge registered an offence under Sections 304(b), 307, 498 (a) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code against the deceased’s husband and in-laws.
