Nagpur: Urge to enjoy “Paan” and stopping at a “Paanthela” proved costly for a man as his bag containing cash and laptop was lifted from his Activa. The bag-lifting incident, in which the man was relieved of cash and laptop collectively valued at Rs 90,000, was reported on Thursday night in Lakadganj area. Search has been launched to nab the muggers.

The victim Sanjay Trilokdas Agrawal (44), resident of 402, Dhanivajant Apartment, Ambedkar Road, was returning home on his Activa (MH-31/CM 9345) at about 9 pm on Thursday. In the midway, Sanjay stopped at Balaji Paan Mandir on Maskasath Road to enjoy a juicy paan. He parked his Activa and went to the ‘Paanthela.’ However, Sanjay committed a grave mistake by keeping his bag dangling at the Activa. At the same time, an unidentified person lifted the bag containing cash of Rs 80,000 and a laptop worth Rs 10,000 and vanished within no time. The theft came to notice when Sanjay returned to his Activa. He immediately filed a complaint with Lakadganj police in this connection.
