Nagpur: In an incident that brings a major grief in the family who were all happy in a family wedding, a 48 year old committed suicide by hanging himself at his Sai Nagar residence on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Gajendrasingh Thakur.
Thakur, who works as a security man with a private company, had returned home after attending the wedding of his niece at Ingole Nagar. He had feasted and also danced at the marriage venue.
As the family chose to stay back at the wedding venue, Thakur returned home without them. One of the relatives, who later returned home, was shocked to see Thakur hanging from the ceiling fan.
Police said no suicide note was found from the place. A case of accidental death has been registered at Hudkeshwar police station.
In another incident, 30-year-old Amol Chahande too ended his life at his residence at Ajni railway quarters on Friday. Amol, father of a child, was employed with the railways as a class IV employee. He was learnt to have under stress due to loans. A case of accidental death was registered at Ajni police station.
