Gittikhadan police booked a middle-aged man for duping 20 youths of Rs 10.70 lakh on the pretext of giving them jobs in Food Corporation of India (FCI). Complainant Arun Atram (35), a resident of Bothli, Wardha informed the police that accused Marotrao Gorlewar, a resident of Ekta Nagar, Kamptee Road gave fake advertisement on the website for the vacancies in Food Corporation of India on the name of Director of FCI.
Arun applied for the job. He gave the written examination followed by Personal Interview like the procedure of recruitments. Arun informed 19 of his friends who then applied for the posts. Accused Marotrao used fake letter on the name of FCI Director and used fake signatures of Chief Managing Director to prove its authenticity. All the 20 candidates including Arun were given a date after their personal interview. Marotrao took Rs 10.70 lakh from all the candidates for the recruitment. After taking the money, Marotrao started giving lame excuses to the candidates regarding their joining date.
Sensing that they have been fooled, Arun lodged a complaint with Gittikhadan Police Station against Marotrao. Cops booked Marotrao on the charged of fraud and registered an offence under relevant sections of IPC.
