Man duped of lakhs with Air India job promise

Nagpur: Sadar police has booked a crook who duped Rs 7.50 lakhs of an aspirant on the pretext of getting him a job in Air India.

Complainant Amit Kumar Gupta (34), resident of Swagar Park Apartments, Friends colony told police that accused Sachin Pande, resident of Bairamji Town assured him job in Air India in returned of Rs 7.50 lakhs. Accused who somehow managed to prove his infallibility in front of victim, acquired total amount on January 25 this year.

Subsequently when accused didn’t issue any conformation letter and began to temporize, Gupta thought something was amiss. However when victim pressurized Pande, the accused allotted him a bogus joining letter. After which the matter came in light.

When victim approached Pande concerning his money, Pande allegedly started stalling him. Annoyed by which Gupta filed a police complaint in Sadar police station.

Sadar police station has registered a case under section 420,467,471 of IPC. Further probe is underway.
