Man convicted for murder, gets lifer

On June 27, court no. 6, Nagpur, judge Tarare’s court awarded lifer to one Pradeep alias Banti Haridas Meshram, 21, a resident of, Kushinagar, Jaripatka, Nagpur after his conviction under 302 IPC. A fine of Rs 1000/ and in default of fine an additional imprisonment of 3 months is awarded.

The details of the case are, on November 29, 2012, the accused, Pradeep, on some reason committed murder of one Nameshwar Ramprasad Kumre, 25, a resident of, Kushinagar, Nagarjun Colony, Jaripatka by smashing his head with a stone. The crime was committed in open ground near technical school, Dhantoli. On getting FIR from complainant, Ramrajsingh Daryasingh Chavan, 57, a resident of, Kumbhartoli, an offence was registered at Dhantoli police station under section 302 of IPC and the accused was arrested on 30-11-2012.

Police inspector, Anil Shewale, conducted detailed investigation into the matter and committed the case to court. Police constable, Sayyad Mushtaq, assisted prosecution. Government pleader, Vasant Narsapurkar held brief on behalf of prosecution. Adv Chetan Thakur held brief for the convict.
