Man cheats woman with promise of railway job

Lure of government job can be a ready trap for a gullible person. It happened with the complainant, Laxmi Ashok Sardar, 45, a resident of, plot no. 3, Vaishnavi Layout, in jurisdiction of Gittikhadan police station.

Laxmi got acquainted with the accused, Suresh Gulabrao Adalag, 55, a resident of, near Yashwant Ginning Factory, Shivnagar, Wardha at Wardha. Suresh promised Laxmi that he could get her son a job in railways. At the time of introduction, he gave his name as Suresh Gawande.

Without sufficient verification or information, Laxmi allowed Suresh Gawande alias Suresh Adalag to stay at her place on the intervening night of July 2, 2014 and July 3, 2014. However, strangely Suresh left her house without any intimation.

Due this Lami got suspicious. On verification she found that her ornaments worth Rs 1,00,000/ were missing. When she contacted the accused, he admitted as to his involvement in crime and promised to return the valuables. Afterwards he did not keep promise and switched off his cell phone. Later it was learnt that real name of the accused is Suresh Gulabrao Adalag.

On the report of the complainant, police sub-inspector, Bawankar of Gittikhadan police station has registered offence under section 380 of IPC. Further investigation is in progress.
