Man booked for creating ruckus at Jalsa Bar, threatening owner for extortion

Nagpur: Pachpaoli Police have booked a man for allegedly threatening the owner of Jalsa Bar, demanding Rs 10,000 as extortion money and also ransacking the bar premises on Tuesday night.

Based on the complaint lodged by Anil Bhaiyalaalji Jaiswal, the owner of Jalsa Bar, Teka Naka, Kamptee Road, Pachpaoli cops have booked one Papa, a resident of Sugat Nagar in this connection.  

According to police sources, the accused Papa had been troubling Jaiswal (46), a resident of Gorewada from August 26, this year. However, Jaiswal first ignored his advances. On Tuesday night, accused Papa reportedly barged inside the bar and created ruckus. He reportedly sought Rs 10,000 as protection money and warned Jaiswal of dire consequences. While leaving he also broke the board of the bar worth Rs 10,000.

Following which Jaiswal approached Pachpaoli Police Station. Cops have booked accused Papa under Sections 385, 386, 294, 506, 427 of the IPC and launched the probe into the matter.
