Nagpur: A middle-aged man was attacked with a wooden stick at a birthday party when he objected to playing DJ music loudly beyond permissible time in Kalamna police area on Sunday night. The man received serious injuries on head.
The complainant, Mitaram Bharatram Lahare (45), resident of Plot No. 54, Kamna Nagar, had gone to the birthday celebration of Ashish Lahare at Chikhli Slums on Sunday night. DJ music was being played at the party. However, after some time the DJ music was stopped. But the accused named Ashfaque Sheikh (25), resident of Pangdu Slums, Chikhli, demanded the start of DJ music again. When Mitaram objected to starting the music, the accused got furious and attacked him with a wooden stick and inflicted serious injuries on Mitaram’s head.
Kalamna API Arvind Pawar has registered a case under Sections 324, 504 of the IPC against accused Ashfaque Sheikh and probing the matter further. No arrest has been made in the matter so far.
