Nagpur: In a late-night operation on Sunday, Crime Branch Unit 3 officers arrested a 32-year-old man in Nandanvan with 5.5 kg of cannabis. The accused, identified as Gulzar Adalat Qureshi, a resident of Shrikrishna Nagar, Nandanvan, was apprehended during a routine patrol.

According to police sources, the Unit 3 team, led by PI Mukund Thakre and PSI Navnath Devkate, became suspicious of Qureshi’s movements. Upon searching him, officers discovered the cannabis. Along with the drugs, a mobile phone and other items worth a total of Rs 92,500 were seized. The accused has been handed over to Nandanvan Police for further investigation.
