Nagpur: In yet another shameful act of butchering innocence of a girl, Ajni poice have arrested a middle-aged man for raping a five-year-old girl.
The accused has been identified as Ravindra Mahanand Gaikwad (49), a resident of Vinkar wasahat, Manewada. On January 8, the innocent girl was playing in front of her house when the accused Ravindra called the girl to his house and offered to play cartoon on TV for her. The girl stayed to watch cartoon. Later, the accused raped the girl and threatened her not to narrate the incidence to anyone. However, the girl narrated the incidence to her mother the next day.
On the complaint of victim’s mother, Ajni police registered an offence under Section 376 read with sub section 4 of Protection of Child from Sexual Offence Act 2012 and arrested Ravindra.
