Man accused of thrashing his mother collapses at Kapil Nagar Police Station, dies

Nagpur: High voltage drama of Pardhi family took drastic turn at Kapil Nagar Police Station after a 38-year-old man accused of beating his own mother with a small pipe reportedly collapsed at the police station and died here, on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi Mohanlaal Pardhi, a resident of Flat No. 210 Joshi near Garden.

According to police sources, Ravi had reportedly launched an attack on his mother Yashoda on Monday night. Following which his father Mohanlaal along with members of Pardhi family approached Kapil Nagar Police Station with a complaint. Ravi had also accompanied them to the police station.

While cops were busy registering the complaint, Ravi who was standing outside reportedly got hyper with the passing of each minute. It is when, Ravi reportedly collapsed on ground inside the Kapil Nagar Police Station. The cops, subsequently, rushed him to the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital commonly known as Mayo Hospital. However, the doctors pronounced him dead.

Due to the sudden departure of Ravi; both, his family members and police were taken aback. Cops in the meantime registered an offense of accidental death and probing further. The exact reason behind Ravi’s death could only be determined after the autopsy.
