West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today. This is the West Bengal CM’s first visit to New Delhi after she handed the BJP a humiliating defeat in the Bengal polls in May.

The WB CM also met senior Congress leaders Kamal Nath and Anand Sharma earlier today. This is the first of her series of meetings with senior political leaders in the national capital after her assembly poll victory in Bengal.

“We have not discussed any strategy. That will be discussed by the leader of our party. We just discussed the current situation and the issue of rising prices,” Kamal Nath said.
