    Maharashtra News: ​Amravati’s 16-yr-old brain dead boy saves five lives

    Amravati: In a heartwarming incident, a couple who lost their 16-year-old son in an accident has given life to five other people by donating his kidneys, liver and eyes were donated to five needy patients in Amravati and Nagpur.

    ​​Pranav Andhare(16), was hospitalized in the district hospital after being severely injured in an accident. He was shifted to Radiant hospital for advanced treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries and died.

    After his death, the doctors along with few officers from an eye donation center informed his family about the organ donation process. The family agreed to the cause and subsequently, his kidneys, liver and eyes were donated to the needy patients.

    Dr Pravin Agarwal was accompanied by the Eye Donation Center’s head Manoj Rathi, Chandrakant Popat, Chunnilal Mantri and Pappu Gaglani in the entire process. Pranav’s family and relatives were also present throughout the process.
