NDBA is hosting 2nd Maharashtra Junior State Selection Badminton Tournament 2013. The tournament is starting from 24th September. Preparations of the same are on in full swing. Recently NDBA’s organizing committee members visited Subhedar Hall to finalize work to be completed before the start of the tournament. Director of Physical Education of Nagpur University Mr. Dhananjay Welukar accompanied the team during the visit and promised full cooperation and support from his side.
The tournament will be held for 2 junior age groups. Under 17, Under 19 boys and girls. Singles as well as doubles matches will be played in both categories. About 400 players from all over Maharashtra are expected to participate. Around 15 – 20 Maharashtra Badminton Association’s officials are expected to be here to conduct the tournament smoothly.
Last year, owing to the hard work and excellent arrangement and organisation by NDBA,the tournament got a good response from the city’s badminton enthusiasts, as well as words of praise from everyone. We expect things to be the same this time too…We only aim to improve and deliver better tournaments everytime….
