Maharashtra govt transfers 16 IPS officers; Daithankar is new Addl CP Nagpur

Rajiv Jain made new DCP of ACB

Mumbai/Nagpur: The Maharashtra government on Wednesday transferred and promoted 103 senior officers, 16 IPS officers and 87 DCPs  during the reshuffle.

Additional commissioner of police (south region) in Mumbai, Krishna Prakash has been transferred to CID Pune as DIG. RP Sengaonkar, principal of Police Training School Khandala, has been transferred to Solapur as Commissioner of police.

Sengaonkar, who was earlier Thane rural SP, was suspended after he booked two Palghar girls under now repealed section 66(A) of the  IT act for posting alleged derogatory remarks about the bandh called by Shiv Sena after the death of its supremo Bal Thackeray.

Later, he was re-instated as principal of the police training school.

In Vidarbha and Nagpur region, according to information C G Daithankar, Add. CP Pune is transferred to Nagpur in the same rank and will be replaced by S K Tarwade who is working as Addl CP ( Crime). Tarwade has been shifted to Pune Commissionearte while Addl CP S S Solunke will be the new CP of Amravati city.

Prakash Jadhav, DCP ACB Nagpur is shifted as Principal of Police Training School, Khandala. Chandrapur SP Rajiv Jain will take over the cahrge of DCP ACB Nagpur.

Anant Rokade SP Parbhani will take charge as SP of Special Action Group ( SAAG ) Nagpur

PR Dighavkar, DCP traffic, Mumbai has been transferred as additional CP, Mumbai. VR Chauhan, additional CP Mumbai has been transferred as additional CP Navi Mumbai.

Pradeep Sawant, who was involved in Telgi stamp paper controversy, has been transfered to Mumbai from ATS (Anti Terrorism Squad).  Sawant will take charge as DCP, Mumbai police.

Cherring Dorje will take charge as additional CP, west resigon, Mumbai police. In addition to this, the government has also
transferred IPS officers of SP and DCP rank.
