Nagpur: The issue of Senior Cabinet Minister for Cattle and Dairy Development of Rashtriya Samaj Paksha (National Social Party) Mahadev Jankar once again heated up in the Assembly.
The Winter Session of Legislative Assembly started as usual on December 15, 2016, at 10 am. It was going on great till Question Hour. Immediately after the Question Hour, the Opposition brought in a motion and demanded the resignation of Mahadev Jankar. After the opposition created ruckus, the house was adjourned for half an hour.
The beleaguered Dairy Development Minister Mahadev Jankar’s troubles, does not seem to end. A report prepared by the state Election Commission (EC) has not only found him guilty but also stated that the Minister misused his office. A case was registered against Jankar last week in Gadchiroli. Mahadev Jankar is said to have allegedly misused his power in the Gadchiroli Local Body Elections by pressurizing Wadsa’s Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) for rejecting Congress Candidate Jesabhai Motwani’s nomination papers for the election of Municipal Council President.
