Nagpur: Dr.Vivek Nanoti, Principal Priyadarshini Institute of Engineering & Technology (PIET ) on behalf of Lokmanya Tilak Janakalyan Shikshan Sanstha (LTJSS) signed a very Important MoU for JOINT Research & Development in ASH MANAGEMENT with MAHAGAMS in esteem presence of Hon’ble Minister of Energy & Renewable Energy and State Excise Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MLC Anil Soleji, Shyam Wardhane, MD MAHAGAMS, Bipin Shrimali, MD MAHAGENCO & Dr J P Modak, Dean ( R & D) , LTJSS at Its New Building at Vidyut Bhawan recently.
MAHAGAMS is a wholly owned subsidiary of MAHAGENCO, Maharashtra Power Generation Company Limited, MSPGCL, specially established to implement MAHAGENCO’s FLY ASH UTILISATION POLICY and promote the Ash generated in MAHAGENCO’s coal based power plants by gainfully utilising “WASTE MATERIAL” as “RESOURCE MATERIAL”. Senior Professors from all the LTJSS Engineering Institutions will be involved in this unique Collaborative R & D Project.
Both the organisations will work jointly in mutually beneficial areas of Fly Ash utilisation and therefore, this Memorandum of Understanding is signed to undertake research and development in the area of Fly Ash, value added product and its utilization, waste land rejuvenation, standardization & testing of Fly Ash and its products, organising training programs, workshops, seminars, promoting Start Ups/Stand Ups through incubation centres etc. with sole purpose of protecting the Environment by maximising utilisation of Fly Ash generated in MAHAGENCO Power Plants.
