Nagpur: Lt Gen Raman Dhawan, VSM and Bar, the Chief of Staff, Army Training Command,Shimla visited Institute of Military Law on 27 Feb 2016. The General Officer was received at the Rowley Residency by Brig Vijay Kumar, Commandant and Col (Dr) AK Vashishta, Deputy Commandant of Institute of Military Law.

The General Officer is an alumnus of National Defence Academy,Khadakwasla and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. He has attended all the prestigious courses of Indian Army including the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Higher Command, Mhow and National Defence College, New Delhi. Among his prestigious commandsGeneral Officer has commanded a division and an area. Presently the General Officer is responsible for formulatingprogressive guidelines on the training of the complete Indian Army.

During his visit to the IML, which is an elite institution functioning under the ARTRAC, General Officer interacted with the officers of the Institute of Military Law and inspected the Training infrastructure of the Institute of Military Law.

The General officer interactedwith civilian staff and shared his service experience with them. He also wished them and their families a bright future. Brig Vijay Kumar, Commandant of Institute of Military Law expressed his gratitude to the General Officer for spending his valuable time for the Institute of Military Law and for having said inspiring words to the faculty.
