Nagpur News : Valentine’s Day fervor was very much evident on youths this year. Nandanvan Police booked one such Romeo who exploited a girl on the pretext on loving her. According to information, 16-year-old Sandhya (name changed) was going to her college when accused Ashfaq Khan (35), a resident of Tajabad stopped her midway and proposed her. Sandhya tried to avoid him but didn’t leave her.
Scaring the girl further, Ashfaq started abusing Sandhya. She rushed back to her home and told her parents about the incident. Her parents went to Nandanvan Police Station and lodged a complaint against Ashfaq. Cops registered an offence under Sections 341 and 254 of the IPC.
Further investigations are under way.
