Nagpur:
The workers of electrical loco-shed (TRS), Ajni, under the banner of CRMS (Central Railway Mazdoor Sangh) led by office-bearers Vinod Chaturvedi (divisional secretary) and D Bhattacharya (president), held a protest-meeting at the loco-shed gate Ajni against 7th Pay Panel Report, today.

Addressing the railway workers, Chaturvedi said, the 7th Pay Panel Report is a deception to workers/ employees. He pointed out, the pay panel has reduced the salary of employees instead of hiking it while the minimum scale of pay should have been at 1:8 ratio. He also said, the allowances should not have been cut down and they should have been maintained ‘as it is’, and the cut in HRA should be maintained as per previous rates as 10%, 20% and 30%. He stressed that keeping in view the national contribution of group-C and D workers/ employees and the existing financial circumstance through which they are sailing, the pay-scales must be revised apprehending dearness of coming 10 years.

D Bhattacharya, R A Jethava, Pramod Kiratkar and G M Sharma also addressed the gate-meeting.
