At the out set, a Short history and demonstration of Trans-thoracic ECHO was shown by don Dr. Anil Modak, Cardiologist. A Lecture on Basic TEE views-was discussed by Dr. Deepak Tempe. It was followed by Live TEE views demonstration from OT directly with interactive discussion and Discussion with Dr Tempe regarding difficulties while the patient is on Cardio-pulmonary bypass(CPB ) and Post-CPB TEE views. A panel discussion was arranged at the concluding session in which Dr. Arvind Joshi (President CTS), Dr. P.K.Deshpande, Dr. S.K. Deshpande. Dr. Snadeep Khnazode and Dr. Deepak Tempe & Dr. Ritesh Borkar (Secretary CTS) participated and answered queries of select participants and audience comprising of Anaesthesiologists, Perfusionists and Cardiac surgeons.
Dr. Jyoti Panhekar & Dr. Rupali Shendre, compered the scientific deliberation. Dr. S. K. Deshpande moderated the workshop. The TEE workshop showed all the Delegates the Advantages of Morden Technology as it diagnosed the patient to have an addition Valvular Heart Disease and the Surgery changed from single valve Replacement to Double valve Replacement. The Surgery was performed by Dr. Swapnil Deshpande. Dr. Sudhir Mangrulkar and team handled live telecast of the event. Dr. Ritesh Borkar proposed vote of Thanks.
